Field Trip to the Mid America Science Museum

Last Friday the family took a small field trip to the Mid America Science Muesum in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The kiddos were told we were going on an adventure and got to spend the drive guessing what we we going to do. I got a nice quiet road trip to knit Lincoln's baby blanket that grows row by row. Lately I've had a bit more time on my hands to knit, I had wished to be able to finish within the two week span we had taken from therapy and schoolwork, along with trying to get caught up with house work. Which again I think won't happen, but doesn't hurt to set goals right.

During our hour drive we listened to The Unexplainable Disappearance of Mars Patel. The kids mostly the older boys really got into the podcast. The story focuses on a boy name Mars Patel that notices two of his school mate disappear. He goes on a adventure trying to solve their mysterious disappearance while he himself and his friends find themselves unwavering a series of mysteries and upsetting the headmaster of Pruitt Prep.

Once we arrived Quentin was excited to see dinosaurs near the entrance leading towards the museum. The kiddos had fun playing with many of the science stations. My older boys were with my husband trying the stations and learning about each exhibit. While the younger three stayed closer to mom.

Quentin loves dinosaurs and was thrilled when we did The Walking with The Dinosaurs trail.

Upon finishing the museum we meat another large homeschooling NV 3500 Nissan family and chatted away for some time that was visiting from Florida. The kiddos and I love getting to know and met other families with NV's.
