Friday, Free Day

It's Friday meaning the last day of the week before the weekend. This year I'm starting something different with my homeschooling schedule. I'm going down to 4 days a week with schooling. With the last few years schooling through ARVA, k-12 we got so traped to working everyday, in front of a computer screen I rethought our whole dianamic. This is my first year of traditional homeschool so I wanted to make more time of getting out into the real world. With all of its beauty, adventures, and socializing. Having traveled so much as a child being a military brat I felt my kids were missing so much the world and what cultures had to offer them as educational and stepping Stones to life later on. So here marks one of our many Free Day Friday's.

Today I decided I wanted to take the day to unwind from kids therapies, working, and just enjoy the day at home with my kids. We have managed the morning chores of chickens, feeding the dogs, turtles. Did our tidy up of the house, now we get to sit back and enjoy our time together as a family. Playing Nintendo Switch with Mario Cart, some PC games, my personal favorite reading together. Right now we are reading The Descendents novels and The Land of Stories (I have a love for all things fairy tales and fantasy). Plus this momma got to sit back and just watch them interact with each other. Their laughter, their compassion for caring for their younger siblings just never gets old. All while rocking my Little Lincoln fast asleep underneath my current knitting project of his baby blanket slowly adding a few more rows at a time. Hopefully by some miracle I hope to finish before it starts to cool down in the next few months. With all the chaos that life brings, the constant hustle and bustle of daily life its these moments that I simply love. A house full of love and memories!
