Lately my Clan have had a pretty jam packed month. So far it's been full of a thumb slicing accident for my oldest, Appointments for the kiddos both routine and for Flu Shots. Now normally I'm not on for the Flu shot myself. After getting the flu shot I have always gotten the flu and I just choose to stay clear. But with my kiddos at therapy three times a week, the last two years I have learned it is better to go ahead and get the Flu shot for any possible bug that is going around the turn around after them getting the shot and possible getting sick is so much easier,, than not.
I have also learned to make elderberry tea, syrup, and gummies for my kids that I do my best to always keep stocked up works wonders. Paired along with a healthy batch of chicken bone broth I make in my crock pot once a month then pull out of the freezer as needed for hydration. Then a neighbor of mine has bees that we buy honey from for our allergies and we love adding to our food, elderberry gummies.
This month has also had a lot of therapy sessions, we are now adding my 3 year old Quentin to the group receiving therapy for speech. After watching his older siblings go for so long he is happy to start.
Between school work, housework, and therapies I unintended started minimizing and reorganizing my home. This will be a timely process and I'm afraid I have no pictures to share as of yet, but my hopes are to adjust our home from our family of 6 to our now family of 8. Things just weren't cutting it anymore and things needed an update. Bedroom arrangements, our school room, getting our family room back, this mum is getting her yarn room back in order and so much more. I simply couldn't keep up with the clutter, and something needed to give. Our belongings versus my sanity was in question here. At least in this mum's mind. I can't stand the clutter, It derails me from any task.
An update for my Little Lincoln he is now rolling back and forth, starting an interest in crawling, or scooting on his tummy. Sitting is his favorite activity to play with his toys and siblings. Even as a mom of 6 I had to look up the age for when to give foods and which foods to give. You'd think I'd have that down pat by now but even I use google. Lincoln started showing an interest to food a few weeks ago. Watching as the food went to my month he started mimicking and so I started giving him scraps from my plate of eggs, bananas, oatmeal per what the kids eat first thing in the morning already having a large pot made. I've been meaning to make baked oatmeal. If you have a recipe you love I'd love to try. Feel free to send in your recipes. Next up an Anniversary, and Birthdays in the same week.
