Linlcoln's #knitted #tenstitchblanket #babyblanket is finally complete. This may look like an ordinary baby blanket but it's so much more than that. It a huge accomplishment for me! Little does anyone know last year I lost all desire to #knit or #crochet and was going through a very dark time. I was full of pain and knitting was the very last thing I had any desire of doing. It was a daily battle to even think of picking up my needles, let alone choose a project to start. For many that know me #knitting and #crocheting is my religion. A daily practice and self meditation. Finally after months of trying I picked up my needles and started this simple blanket. Slowly and very painstakingly I worked stitch by stitch, row by row. I choose this pattern not only for it's simplicity, but also as a project I didn't have to think about, stitches to count. I could reflect and a way for me to heal. A quiet retreat from the world so I could memorialize what time I had. I'm so proud that I finally found the courage to continue my #crafting #knittingistherapy #selfhealing. My knitting saved me from the deepest darkest parts of myself, when I was truly lost and had no way of reaching out, or even speaking the words to my loved ones. My knitting has shown many my love and affections. Now my knitting also shows my hopes, dreams, loss, and pain. My grief which will never be forgotten. More than that it shows my heart, my love, my strength to keep moving forward. #alwaysremeberingyou
