This last week I decided it was time to break out of the same old routine. With summer close to an end and temperatures being cooler we decided to do some schoolwork in the van during two of my kiddos therapy sessions. Gives the kids a break from having to sit quietly in the lobby of the therapy office while the younger two are at speech therapy. Getting to move around and be somewhat louder than normal kids.
We started an audiobook on spotify called The Two Princes. My little Fox loves to sit and play with army men or his farm creatures while listening. Sebastian and Declan are my biggest listeners.
We are currently reading two books together as a family. The first one is from the Disney Descendants novels, The Isle of the Lost. We typically read this book together after lunch. The kiddos are really big into the villains.
Our second book is From the Land of Stories Series, we are on book one The Wishing Spell.
We generally read this book before bed. Even though we carry these books around so in case we are at an appointment or just want to her more of the current thrilling adventure of one story over another they are always at hand.
While Little Lincoln tuckered out and napped in his car seat we played with Clementine's speech therapy cards, learned about Dinosaurs, and a few other lessons on history, and Harry Potter Studies.
The kids got to fill me in on the new shiny Pokemon that were available in Pokemon Go.
Thursday the Nissan NV 3500, momma's Big Ole Goliath need a bath. Having twelve hands was so much faster and easier to get the hard to reach places. It also doubled as a great way to cool down after mowing the front and side yard.
Meet Mr. Bojangles this guy has been around since we purchased our Nissan NV 3500 almost three years ago. He started out as a prank for the kids around Halloween time, as the babysitter for the van. But he has become family, he travels everywhere we do. We loves seeing everyone's face when they notice Mr. Bojangles hanging out in a van full of kids.
