What a day...pinging back and forth non, stop phone calls with the new rental company that's bought the house, what a nightmare. About ready to blow my top. UGH! Throw six more kids at me, instead of this insanity of sign this new lease, oh by the way rent is due, don't be late. Turn the AC off until further notice, so no further damage can be done, but we won't do a work order or send anyone out because it's illegal without a lease, and then nothing will show up on their maintenance crews' log. Deposit, what deposit. I'm fed up of the BS. Thanks for stressing me out far more than what my kiddos ever could!
Okay for clarification Here's the new circumstances.
It's a whole lot of mess. On the new lease there was zero deposit, but seeing we paid a deposit moving in I wanted to make sure we'd get that back when we moved. The deposit is suppose to transfer with the property sale. So they then instead added the deposit that we paid as needing a deposit. I asked that they add a note stating that the deposit had already been paid as wasn't needed for the new lease otherwise it states that we need to pay a deposit for the month of august. They told me they have a ledger showing that it had been paid and would be transferred that they would send a copy after we signed the new lease, but not before. Which I asked for the proof before signing so we don't get screwed out of the deposit, or having to cough up more money. Trust me, it's been a none stop phone war.
This is why I hate renting. This is why we are trying to move towards having our own house built. So what are we doing to move in that direction. First set a goal of 6 months to move. Then get a storage unit to start packing away our things we don't use. Taking a trip once a week to drop off boxes. Then all we'll need to move in the end is the kids outside things, and the furniture. Our next big thing will be to go ahead and try for getting a house built. Cause this momma is done with renting and the nightmares that brings.
