This week isn't quite going as planned...seems to be a constant thyme as of late. This week was suppose to be the start of getting back into homeschooling after taking a month off. Well that hasn't happened. Today the older boys are helping to get the house picked up so we can have a walk through of the house and possibly get some answers as to when and how the house will get fixed up. Here's to hoping they'll work with us on scheduling so we can have time to move and prep areas at a time. Hopefully the kids and I survive each other confined in the living room, or outside for the duration operation fix the floors and whatnot. Fingers crossed everything happens for a reason.
I'm taking a humble lesson from my loving husband and children. Not to dwell on the things we cannot change. Can I help how slow repairs are going... No...can I change how much time passes while waiting for a call or more information...no. But what I can do is make the best of it...While waiting I'm spending time doing fun things with my kids. Reading adventures to the Shire, sharing life long memories, sharing life long skills and lessons. Together we've built an urban farm as my dad recently called our backyard as the kids walked my parents around the yard giving a garden tour. So filled with so much pride and joy, that which their own two hands had a hand in building. I'm truly blessed to have my large family, it's not always easy, but worth every second. The good, the bad. Thank you! Everyone that has reached out giving me the friendly reminder, that things will work out, things will get better, and reminding me of what's truly important. My Family!
I take it the extensive work needing to be done to our houses floors scared off the maintenance crew...four hours and counting waiting for them to come back or call. The plan was to work on the bathroom and bedroom hallways today, along with doing another check of the AC, and adding plumping to the master bathroom shower that was never put in. Trying to stay positive here!
