As a rule, if I make something for my mother, I always try to make something for my mother in law. Luckily my three older boys have been helping out with the three younger kiddos. Giving me a bit of extra time to knit and crochet. Slowly but surely after the birth of my sixth little one I'm finally finding time to create with my hands again. Lincoln isn't as needy of moms full attention and knitting is just harder for me to do with him while nursing. My mother in law has a soft spot for unicorns. So anytime o come across a pattern I stash them away for me to try them out. This Christmas I decided I would make a decorative pillow. When I came across this particular pattern I knew it was perfect. My husband recently told me this past summer that his mother also loves roses. Now I have wanted to start buying roses for her to plant around their home for Mother's Day from the kids, but last year things were a little crazy and I never got the chance, so when I saw the roses on the unicorn pillow pattern new it was a nice touch.
